Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. She was born into the middle class family in Los Angeles and had big hopes for the future. The mother of her children was a film enthusiast and encouraged her to love movies as a young person. Paula participated in co-curricular school activities and particularly enjoyed the drama. She played with her classmates and was a part of the school's productions. She was a part of numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to pursue acting as a profession. She was in at the University of Southern California's Summer program and enjoyed tremendously. The program was an award for a PBS project for three months to shoot documentary films. She started as an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. Her next step was to produce documentaries. But she still had a desire to become an actress, even though she was happy at her work. Her career in acting started with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's played in numerous popular films and television series.
