Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena A superstar who managed to fully transition from the country music scene to making her an iconic celebrity and then conquering the globe in the process. Swift left her heritage in the country genre like a second skin, and revealed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to take the popular zeitgeist out on the road. This was evident from her first songs, especially with regard to the neo tribute towards Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008), Swift showed a songwriter getting to understand her. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the most important reasons. However, it did well all over the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier successes, propelling Swift into the spotlight. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she became part of a world of pop music where it was clear that she belonged. Her popularity grew even after she altered her plan in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
