Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington has been a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Born in Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England with her family at the age of 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Following graduation, she left her name as a conservative syndicated columnist and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later, she launched an online voice platform that gave critical opinions about the current political climate. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna's popularity started in 2003, after she became an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace then-Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of the Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes named her as 12th on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. named her president of their media company in 2011 after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by additional AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were an expert in management and a journalist. Although she was a close friend to her father, it was her relationship with her mother which shaped her character. At a young age, she displayed the leadership abilities that she is still known for. At the age of 16 her family moved to her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate club. As the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head of the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. After her graduation, she was a columnist-critic as well as a TV host. She also appeared together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editing assistance.
