Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen, born 6 May 1964 is a Danish actor. He is Danish and has appeared as Troels Hartmann who is Copenhagen's mayoral candidate in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third season of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was portrayed in American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was presented with the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011. When he was 27 He was enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from the school in 1995. Apart from his appearance in The Killing, [1] he also appeared in Borgen III, a Danish drama series that was highly popular. He also played a central role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock which featured him as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American television show House of Cards he played the president of Russia. In 2018, he won an International Emmy Award. His part in the Danish television drama Herrens Veje earned him an International Emmy Award. The show aired in the UK in 2019under the title Ride Upon the Storm.
